Wake County Court Filings go Digital!

The state of North Carolina plans to invest over $100 million over the next ten years to convert its current court filing systems from paper filings to efilings. Wake County is one of four counties in the state to be part of a pilot program for this new eCourts system. The others are Harnett, Johnston, and Lee Counties. This “eCourts” portal is to be available in all 100 counties across the state by 2025. What is eCourts? Using AirTags to track a spouse or child. Is it Legal? Should you do it? (Part 1)

AirTags and other Bluetooth trackers, like Life360’s Tile, are coin-sized tracking devices. Using a Bluetooth signal, an AirTag pings off any Apple device using Apple’s Find My network and shows you the location of the AirTag. Dale V. Stephenson Continues to Inspire the Next Generation of Lawyers

This past weekend, Ward Family Law Group attorney, Dale V. Stephenson, along with fellow attorney, Chris Nichols, coached two Broughton High School Mock Trial teams at the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) High School Mock Trial Regional Competition, held in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Broughton’s teams consisted of fourteen students, eleven of whom had never participated in mock trial. In a “mock trial”, student teams present an entire trial to seasoned attorneys who serve as the presiding judge and jury.
