Broughton High School Mock Trial Team Advances to Nationals
Please join us in congratulating Ward Family Law Group attorney Dale Stephenson and her Broughton High School Mock Trial Team, who will be representing North Carolina at the National High School Mock Trial Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan. While in law school, Dale began coaching Broughton’s Mock Trial team alongside attorney and co-coach, Chris Nichols.
Broughton’s Mock Trial team consists of three seniors and three juniors. At both Regional and State competition, they alternated between prosecution and defense, presenting their case. After dominating six rounds against other high schools across the state of North Carolina, Broughton Mock Trial team was crowned State Champions. In addition, Dale’s students received special recognition for best attorneys and best witnesses for every round.
